Now Unitedでの活動
サマラさんは、2023年頃、Now United（ナウ・ユナイテッド） & Bootcampers（ブートキャンパーズ）のミュージックビデオ（「Come Together」「Good Days」など）に出演していました。
写真センターにいるのがサマラさんですね。
世界各国から選ばれたメンバーで構成される多国籍ポップグループ。2017年から活動を開始し、「世界はひとつ（United）」がコンセプト。メンバーは各国代表のような形で選抜、1人1人が「国の顔」とし、脱退・加入を繰り返しながら進化している。活動内容は、音楽リリース、ダンスパフォーマンス、ワールドツアー、YouTube・SNS発信などを行っている。
Bootcampは、Now Unitedの候補生を選ぶための超本格合宿オーディション。Bootcampersは、Bootcampに参加した候補生たちの総称。
サマラさんは、Now Unitedの正式メンバーではなかったようですが、実力・存在感ともに“準メンバー級”と見られていたBootcamperだったようです。
「The Debut: Dream Academy」への参加
サマラさんは、2023年にHYBE × Geffen Records が主催した国際リアリティオーディション番組 『The Debut: Dream Academy』に選出され参加していました。
当時、ブラジルのリオデジャネイロに住んでいたサマラさんは、自身のSNSで歌ったり踊ったりする動画を投稿しており、これが、HYBEとGeffen Recordsの目に留まりました。
この機会に興奮したサマラさんは、オファーをすぐに受け入れ、世界約120,000人の応募者の中から選ばれた20人の一員として出演。
しかし、惜しくもデビュー候補メンバーには選ばれませんでしたが、最終評価で7位の成績を収めました。
この模様はNetflixのドキュメンタリーシリーズ Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE でも取り上げられています。
「WORLD SCOUT: The Final Piece」プロジェクト参加（2025〜）
マサラさんは、2025年、HYBE × Geffen Records の新プロジェクト 「World Scout: The Final Piece」 での新ガールーズグループのメンバーの一人として発表されました。
他の確定メンバーには エミリー（Emily）、レクシー（Lexie） がおり、この2人もDream Academyに参加していたメンバーになります。
このプロジェクトは、世界を舞台に新たなグローバルガールズグループを結成するため、日本で最後の1人をオーディションで発掘 する内容で、番組は2026年初頭に放送予定です。
